He doesn't get a lot of company. Really, that's largely on him, when he doesn't know a lot of people here and has made little effort to change that, but as it is, the sound of his buzzer going off comes as something of a surprise, rare an occurrence as it is. The upside of it is, aside from the fact that he wouldn't want much company anyway, that he has a pretty good idea of who it might be, with only one or two real candidates. He can't think of anyone other than Demelza or Kara who'd be dropping by unexpectedly, and he has no reason to object to seeing either of them.
With that in mind, Galen doesn't hesitate to get up and buzz whoever it is in, not needing to wait and find out who's there. This whole thing — the idea of living in an apartment in the first place — is still frakking weird to him anyway. One of these days, he should probably start getting used to it, but that would require settling down here, and he's not sure that's something he knows how to do.
