"As they should be," Galen says, brow arching slightly. That sort of thing, he thinks, should be part of their job description, but it's too easy to imagine that not being the case, for people to be dismissive rather than understanding. Demelza can't help where she comes from or what she knows as a result, or what she still has to learn, but that doesn't mean everyone would see it that way, and these days, he's not too inclined to give people the benefit of the doubt. He knows far too much about what they're capable of for that. "Especially in a place like this.
